STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The city is asking North Shore residents for advice on how to improve their waterfront by calling on them to attend two visioning workshops this month.
The first event will be held Monday in the Reformed Church of Staten Island, 54 Port Richmond Ave. Registration starts at 6 p.m., with the presentation at 6:30.
The second visioning workshop will take place Nov. 12 at Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden, Livingston. The event begins at 6 p.m. in Building G, Room 201.
The private consultant PB Americas was hired by the city to head a team to analyze land and transportation issues along the North Shore.
City officials have said the study will be coordinated with at least four other similar reviews of the Island.
Draft recommendations for the city’s North Shore Land Use and Transportation Study will be made early next year, with the launch of a plan expected to happen in the spring of 2010.
